The MCS Concert Band was awarded SILVER at Tumon Bay Music Festival held in Guam on March 5th. This was the band’s first time competing in the band division of TBMF. Congratulations!

This year MCS Band is planning on participating in the band competion of the Tumon Bay Music Festival 2019. Last year, there were 3 students who participated in the solo/ensemble division but this will be our first time competing in the middle school band division. The members will be selected via audition which will be held on 1st week of February. Good afternoon! Band students are practicing really hard for their Christmas Concert on December 15th. We are sharing the concert with Saipan Pacific Winds Concert Band directed by Mrs. Atsuko Eck. From our side, Intermediate Band (Mainly 2nd year students) will be performing 2 pieces and Beginning Band (1st year students) will be performing 2 pieces.
All the students are excited about the concert and I hope all of you are excited as well!
Again, SPW/MCS Christmas Concert will be on Saturday, December 15th. Please mark your calender! The venue will be announced later.

Early this month, 3 students participated in Tumon Bay Music Festival and received 2 bronze medals (Flute duet and Clarinet solo).
Good job to students who participated in the festival! Hopefully we can go again next year.
